Pura Vida!

Usually I try and keep my posts family related and mostly about the kids but I am going to stray a little and post some pictures of my trip to Costa Rica as they have been requested.  I went to Costa Rica for a little over a week for two classes I am taking through my program at DU.  This was one of the most life changing and fun experiences of my entire life.  I got to meet with the CEO of the company that provides almost all of the renewable energy in Latin America, have 1x1 lunch with a biologist from the Oso peninsula, witness a man being run down by a taxi, met some of the most incredible people and now have 17 new friends that experienced this all with me.  Here are some pictures from this incredible week abroad.

Weekend Away...

It was a nice break and weekend away with a lot of firsts. We went to Durango so that Jojo and P. Paw could watch the kiddos for us and we could have the first night away together since Zach was born. We spent the night in Pagosa Springs at a beautiful condo and celebrated with dinner, drinks and Danny's first time at the hot springs while it snowed beautifully around us. The next day we went back to Durango and took the kids sledding for the first time. Awesome. We also celebrated Zach's first tooth (yes, at 13.5 months old). What a great weekend it was.
